Welcome to all our new starters at A²I².

It’s the start of a new academic year and we’ve just welcomed four new doctoral students from Vietnam and Egypt to the Waurn Ponds campus of A²I². Please give them a warm welcome to Deakin, especially those who have travelled so far to live in Geelong. We hope they enjoy their time at A²I² and we are are all excited to see where their research will lead them.

We also welcome Rena Logothetis and Stephen Rosman who are joining A²I² at the Burwood Campus.

Rena is joining us as an Associate Research Fellow with the ARC Digital Enhanced Living Hub. Rena’s research background is based around the application of sensors and actuators in biomedical applications. She will be working alongside the rest of our research team on the projects of the ARC DELH.

Stephen is joining us as a Senior Software Engineer and has been developing websites and web applications for 25 years across private and public sectors, government and education. He will be working alongside the rest of our software engineer team on our current industry projects, as well as bringing his extensive experience to our Web Focus Area.
